Lifestyle accommodation for nature lovers

The new travel year is still young, but one thing is already certain: holidays on the doorstep, as close to nature as possible, will certainly remain one of the trends in 2022. But we don't have to do without stylish design and that certain something, as our accommodation tips for unusual microadventures prove. From minimalist to hyggelig, it's all here:

Neugrad: Minimalist living in the middle of the Eifel National Park

Very close - and yet far away: in the middle of the Eifel National Park, surrounded by nothing but nature, architecture lovers and those seeking peace and quiet will find their little paradise in the Neugrad cabins. Simple and plain, bright and spacious, cosy and natural, straightforward and reduced: The seven houses - four compact 2-person cabins and three spacious 4-person cabins - bring together everything that makes for cosy living in a thoughtful way. At the same time, the composition of the holiday homes, designed from ecological building materials, has a completely natural effect on the natural, car-free area. Especially great: a private fireplace and a Finnish sauna provide extra relaxation - so holidaymakers can quickly forget about everyday life. For those who still long for a little more action, the Neugrad Experiences offer a varied programme of guided culinary or star walks, yoga or coaching retreats as well as a sporting break - on foot, on water or on two wheels.

Nutchel: Switch off in the Cosy Cabins of the new Forest Village in Alsace

Warm up in front of the wood-burning stove after a long walk in the forest, read a book by the light of the oil lamp, watch the starry sky while taking a bath in the hot tub or simply enjoy the view of the hilly landscape: All this is promised by a stay in the Nutchel Forest Village in Alsace, which opened just three months ago, directly behind the German-French border. Between the Rhine and the Vosges Mountains, 37 cosy cabins in a renaturalised forest area invite you to a special time-out with family and friends - and guaranteed without smartphone distractions. "Switch off to reconnect with yourself and others" is the motto of motto and happens automatically here. Because: There is deliberately no WLAN in the cabins, the interior designed from natural materials merges with the surrounding forest thanks to large panoramic windows, and the furnishings have been reduced to the essentials. A perfect combination of glamping and slow travel. Those seeking peace and quiet will find a second Forest Village in the Belgian Ardennes.
