Nutchel: Advent in Alsace and the Ardennes

When it gets frosty cold and uncomfortable outside, there's nothing better than a crackling fire in the fireplace. That's what the founders of the young tourism company Nutchel thought, too, and equipped each of their cosy cabins with its own wood-burning stove. The name is program here, because it becomes particularly cosy also owing to mad nature materials, oil lamps and candle light as source of light, partly own Hot Tubs on the terrace, campfire places as well as community saunas. At Christmastime, each cabin is equipped with a festively decorated Christmas tree, and fairy lights illuminate the entire area after dark. The very cozy Tiny Houses are to be found in the French Alsace as well as in the Belgian Ardennes, where in so-called Forest Villages a well-being oasis in the midst of nature was created. Real Christmas fans get their money's worth especially in Alsace. By the end of November, the entire region has already been transformed into a veritable Christmas wonderland, and the medieval half-timbered houses are festively decorated. The Christmas markets in the picturesque towns of Colmar, Obernai and Kaysersberg are among the absolute highlights.
